For barcode scanning, product reports, saved labels, privacy questions, or feedback, contact Deficify support. Include your device model, iOS version, barcode digits, and what happened if you are reporting a bug. Do not include sensitive medical information.
Email SupportApp Store purchase or refund
Apple handles App Store billing, receipts, subscription management, and refund requests. RevenueCat helps Deficify verify subscription entitlement status, but Deficify does not receive or store your credit card details.
Barcode lookup or product results
Deficify summarizes available food label data from Open Food Facts and, only when configured, USDA FoodData Central through a Deficify proxy. Open Food Facts data is available under ODbL and product photos under CC BY-SA. Food databases can be incomplete, so check the package label if something looks missing or outdated.
Camera and manual entry
Camera access is used only for barcode scanning. You can still type the barcode digits manually if camera permission is denied or scanning is not working.
Privacy
Deficify does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not sell personal data. Saved scans stay local on your device unless you choose to share or export information yourself. If you email support, we receive the email address and message content you choose to send.
Terms and EULA
Unless Deficify posts a separate custom EULA, use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard EULA for App Store apps and Apple's App Store terms.
Deficify provides educational label review only. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, prevent disease, or replace clinician judgment. The package label is the source of truth.
